]]> This project reimagined an existing first-floor cafe into a welcoming coffee lounge designed to support daily connection and convenience. Inspired by the client’s flagship HQ cafe, the refreshed space features a modern coffee and market concept anchored by a central island for easy grab-and-go service.

The scope included a refrigerated pastry case, sundry station, upgraded seating, new flooring and targeted lighting and ceiling enhancements to elevate the overall atmosphere. Flexible lounge seating accommodates both individual use and small groups, while thoughtful updates to the reception desk and stairway improve flow and first impressions. HVAC systems remained in place, allowing for an efficient build-out supported by early procurement and preconstruction services.

]]> The iconic MetLife building underwent a major renovation to breathe new life into the massive lobby and concourse level. A new visitor reception lounge with high-end slatted millwork ceilings and walls was added onto the lobby level as well as new Eastside storefronts. New storefronts were featured beneath the refreshed solid bronze transom panels on the concourse level. All of the center retail stores were removed to create an expansive center passage directly through from 45th street to Grand Central. The interior columns are clad in light travertine and the floors will be finished with epoxy terrazzo to modernize the space. The double height central lobby facing Grand Central features an impressive central vestibule with a striking multicolored Albers Mural above. The updated aesthetic of the lobby extends to the 45th street entrance by continuing the new flooring outside and recladding the exterior columns.

]]> Interior build-out to convert an existing mechanical floor into a full-service tenant amenities space and lobby.听The lobby involved upgrades and a new exterior marquee. Stone slabs were replaced with wood wall panels, glass, and architectural metal column cladding. A reception desk was revamped and the scope included the addition of new perimeter light coves, new floating ceilings, refinishing of the elevator doors with frame cladding, and a new 17-foot-high architectural metal and wood feature wall.

The new amenities space included opening up the existing exterior wall to create full access to a terrace. The terrace was re-roofed and new wood decking and tile was installed. New custom exterior bi-fold doors, new bathrooms, a new conference room with NanaWalls, a new custom kitchen, all new flooring, wall finishes, lighting and mechanical work were also incorporated in the finished space.

]]> Award-winning renovation of a 17,000 square-foot lobby that creates a spacious, light-filled, and welcoming experience for a 1980s high-rise office building. With nearly six times as much space as the old lobby, it now features a comfortable lounge, a flexible state-of-the-art conference center, a catering kitchen for events, retail spaces and a new courtyard. The roof and building were cut into and structural steel was built back to create the open-air courtyard with new operable glass storefronts creating an indoor/outdoor experience between the lobby and tranquil outdoor space. The renovation also added a secondary pedestrian entryway, which connects to adjacent transit stops.
